What this site is
A connected map, not a list of links
Career information online is usually fragmented. Course pages do not tell you which
entrance exams accept them. Exam pages do not tell you which careers they lead to.
Career pages rarely explain what you needed to study in Class 11 to get there.
IndianCareerGuide is built the other way round. Courses, entrance exams, careers,
categories and education stages are stored as linked records, so every page can show
what genuinely connects to it. When you open a course, the exam routes and career
outcomes listed there come from those relationships — not from a hand-written list
that quietly goes out of date.

How the information is put together
Every course, exam and career on this site is a maintained record rather than a
one-off article. That has a practical consequence: when an exam changes its name,
eligibility or conducting body, the change flows through to every page that references it.
Our working rules
Official sources first. Eligibility, exam patterns and admission processes are taken from the conducting body or the university, not from secondary summaries.
Ranges, not promises. Salary and fee figures are shown as typical ranges with the stage they apply to, because a fresher range and a post-qualification range are not the same number.
Former names are kept. Exams are often renamed. We keep old names searchable so a student looking for the name they were told still finds the right page.
Gaps are marked, not filled. Where a mapping is still being prepared, the page says so instead of showing a plausible guess.
Reviewed each admission cycle. Course, exam and category data is revisited as each year's notifications are published.
We are an independent guidance resource, not an authority.
We do not conduct exams, allot seats, or admit students. Before you apply, confirm
the current rules on the official exam, university or state counselling portal.

Rankings and recommendations in Indian education are frequently paid placements.
Our position is straightforward: the ordering of courses, colleges, exams and careers
on this site is not for sale, and no institution can pay to appear, to rank higher,
or to have unfavourable information removed.
If that ever changes — for example if we introduce sponsored listings or an admissions
partnership — it will be labelled clearly on the page where it appears, and described
here, before it goes live.

The IndianCareerGuide team
Every guide on this site is researched, written and maintained by the IndianCareerGuide
team. We are a small, independent team focused on one thing: making Indian education
and career routes easy to understand for students and the families helping them decide.
Pages are built from official sources first - exam notifications, regulator and
university websites, and government schemes - and then checked by the team before
they are marked as finished. Some sections are drafted with the help of AI tools from
that structured information; a person reviews them before they count as complete, and
pages still waiting for that review are kept out of search engines until they are ready.
Each career, course and exam page shows the date it was last updated. If you spot
something out of date, please tell us - corrections come first.

Tell us when something is wrong
Education data changes constantly and errors do reach the site. If a date, eligibility
rule, fee or mapping looks wrong, report it — corrections are treated as higher priority
than new content, because a wrong eligibility rule can cost a student a year.
Include the page address and, where possible, the official source that shows the correct
information. That is usually enough for us to verify and publish a fix quickly.
We would rather ship a section when it is accurate than publish a thin version early.
