A compositing reel shows breakdowns, not just final frames - reviewers want to see your node graph thinking. Show the work, not the film.
Start in a studio, often on roto or paint Required
Most Indian VFX careers start in rotoscoping or prep. It is repetitive and it is the standard entry - the ones who move up quickly are those who learn the pipeline while doing it.
