• You have passed Class 12 Science with Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Some programmes also accept Mathematics with an approved science combination.
• You are comfortable with a three-year full-time degree, or a four-year Honours route where your university offers it under NEP.
• You want to work around microbes, genes, bioprocessing, food quality, diagnostics or clinical research.
• You are willing to use CUET UG, university merit lists or state admission processes for admission.
• You can plan for an M.Sc or another higher qualification, since many bachelor's-level roles are technician-grade and starting pay is often modest.
• It does not suit you if you need a high-paying role immediately after graduation or dislike laboratory-based science work.
