Certificate in Banking and Financial Services (BFSI)

CRT-008

Banking products, operations, compliance and customer handling. Bank-tied programmes (which often carry a conditional placement offer) are the more reliable route; verify placement terms carefully before paying fees.

Level Certificate
Duration 0.3–0.5 years
Start from After Graduation
Leads to 1 career

DNB (Diplomate of National Board)

PG-001

Recognised as equivalent to MD/MS for most purposes, but awarded by NBEMS rather than a university, and trained largely in accredited private and district hospitals rather than medical colleges. A significant additional route to specialisation given limited MD/MS seats.

Level Postgraduate
Duration 3 years
Start from After Graduation

Needs completed internship and permanent registration

Leads to 4 careers 1 exam

M.Sc Clinical Psychology / M.Phil Clinical Psychology

PG-015

Critically important distinction: only an RCI-recognised M.Phil in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent) permits practice as a Clinical Psychologist in India. An M.Sc alone does not. RCI-recognised seats are very limited and admission is extremely competitive, so students should plan this pathway deliberately.

Level Postgraduate
Duration 2 years
Start from After Graduation
Leads to 3 careers 1 exam

M.Sc Forensic Science

PG-018

Specialisations include forensic chemistry, biology and DNA, toxicology, ballistics, questioned documents and cyber forensics. Government FSL scientific officer posts are the primary career target and are filled through competitive recruitment.

Level Postgraduate
Duration 2 years
Start from After Graduation
Leads to 2 careers 1 exam

M.Sc Nutrition and Dietetics

PG-020

The Indian Dietetic Association's RD credential (requiring internship and examination after this degree) is what distinguishes qualified clinical dietitians and is expected by most hospitals.

Level Postgraduate
Duration 2 years
Start from After Graduation
Leads to 2 careers 1 exam

MA (Master of Arts)

PG-024

Offered across English, History, Political Science, Economics, Sociology, Psychology and other disciplines. A strong foundation for civil services preparation and academic careers; UGC NET is essential for teaching posts.

Level Postgraduate
Duration 2 years
Start from After Graduation
Leads to 9 careers 1 exam

ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants)

PRO-001

Globally portable accounting qualification with strong recognition in the UK, Middle East and Singapore. Widely pursued in India alongside or instead of CA for those targeting multinational and overseas finance roles, and it offers generous exemptions to B.Com graduates and CA students.

Level Professional
Duration 2–4 years
Start from After Class 12
Leads to 2 careers

CFP (Certified Financial Planner)

PRO-008

Personal financial planning across investments, insurance, tax and retirement. Note that giving investment advice for a fee in India additionally requires SEBI Registered Investment Advisor registration, which has its own qualification and net-worth criteria.

Level Professional
Duration 0.5–2 years
Start from After Class 12
Leads to 2 careers

Insurance Institute of India (Licentiate / Associate / Fellow)

PRO-016

The recognised professional qualification ladder in Indian insurance, from Licentiate through Associate to Fellow. Fellowship is generally expected for senior underwriting and technical management roles, and separate IRDAI licensing applies to surveyors and brokers.

Level Professional
Duration 1–4 years
Start from After Class 12
Leads to 1 career
