Understand the exam
Exam overview
This exam has been discontinued. LSAT India is no longer being conducted, and it is not available for 2026 admissions. If you were planning to take it, you need a different route.
What to take instead. For the national law universities, CLAT, run by the Consortium of National Law Universities. For NLU Delhi, AILET, which that university runs separately. For private law universities that previously accepted LSAT India scores, check each institution directly — some now run their own entrance test, some accept CLAT, and the arrangements differ from one to the next. Do not assume a university still accepts a score it accepted two years ago.
If a coaching institute is still selling LSAT India preparation, that tells you something useful about the institute. This exam is not being held, and no amount of preparation changes that. Ask any institute you are considering which exam their course prepares you for, and verify that exam is currently being conducted before paying anything.
The law routes themselves — the five-year integrated degree after Class 12 and the three-year LLB after graduation — are unchanged. Only this particular entrance test has gone.
